Del Sol Opens Second Store on the Tropical Island of St. Maarten!
Del Sol opened its second store on the "Friendly Island" of St. Maarten, which is the island where Jeff Pedersen, Del Sol President and CEO, first interned for Del Sol back in 2000. The store is located on Front Street in Philipsburg, which is on the Dutch side of the island, as St. Maarten is both French and Dutch sovereignty. The store is in an excellent location along the same street as the other store, but this store will catch customer traffic from the cruise ships that dock at the other end of the street. It will also have direct access (via a conjoining store) to the boardwalk that runs along the beach.
St. Maarten II is unique because it features some elements of the new Del Sol build-out concept that Del Sol’s Store Design team has worked on for months. This new system, as it’s being tested, is great because it merchandises more product and is extremely versatile. We’re excited to try out these new elements in the Del Sol St. Maarten II store! We know it will be a great success!
