Del Sol Opens its First Utah Store in Sunny St. George
Del Sol apparel and accessories, which soak up the sun to change colors, are making their first appearance in St. George, Utah this weekend at The Outlets of Zion on 250 N. Red Cliffs Drive. Visitors to this new St. George store can choose from shirts, shorts, nail polish, sunglasses, hair accessories and more that all change colors outside in the sun. And, there's no shortage of sunshine in St. George, which makes Del Sol's sun-painted products even handier on a hot day at the pool or out on the red rocks. You know it's time to apply sunscreen when you see your Del Sol shirt design change from colorless to colorful because of the UV-ray intensity from the sun.
Of course, you've got to see Del Sol products first hand to really understand them. That's why the new store invites anyone to stop by for a free demonstration on how the products work and a free ring that bursts into colors outside in the sunlight. Del Sol staffers will even paint visitors' nails free with Del Sol's proprietary nail polish that also changes color in the sun.
As you know, Del Sol has its roots in Utah. In fact, for 16 years the company has conducted business all over the world from its Sandy, Utah headquarters, but this new store in The Outlets at Zion in St. George marks the first full, inline store to spread its rays in Utah. There's no shortage of sunshine in St. George, which makes Del Sol's sun-painted products even handier on a hot day at the pool or out on the red rocks. The new store kicked off its opening weekend with a grand opening celebration; including radio station remote, press coverage by Southern Utah newspaper, The Spectrum, ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments, promotions, and free demonstrations, rings and fingernail paintings.
The new owners, Curtis and Terri Brown, are long-time Del Sol fans, who have seen our stores all over the map. Terri is heavily involved in her new store’s operations and has modeled some of her marketing efforts after that of Del Sol Solvang’s. The outlets, where the St. George store is located, receives thousands of tour buses from all over the Western United States every year. They’re going to capitalize on St. George’s ever-growing tour bus visits, world-famous golf, and the year round sunshine.
